Host won't respond

Hi all - I will be traveling I June and have booked a place in Amsterdam. I have repeatedly contacted the host (who I think my work for a management company) regarding check in. I have not gotten response and because of this, I would like to cancel the reservation and go with a more reliable host. However the cancellation is "strict". As an Airbnb host myself I cannot imagine treating one of my guest that way, nor I EVER be so aloof. If it wasn't for the "strict" cancellation fee of %50, I would cancel immediately! Please help!

Have you tried making a phone call ? I am sure check-in details will arrive in due course - sometimes maybe as late as 1 week before check-in.
