Hosting 1 guest for three days and another guest (her friend) for one of those nights How do I get..

So I have a dilemma...

I'm hosting 1 guest for three days and another guest (her friend) for one of those nights in the same room. Both of us cant work out how to book different amounts of guests, within the same room, without having independent bookings and thus incurring higher fees and another cleaning fee.  You know how some of us charge extra for an additional guest eg. 25$ after the first. So... I cant get him on the booking. Any ideas? really don't feel comfortable having someone stay who is not on the system too many risks eg. airbnbs insurance cover etc.

Why not send your guest a special offer price of one person for the whole time and an extra guest for one night.

Just go into the existing booking and change it.

Thanks Helen, that sounds like an option

Fingers crossed 😉

Hi @Bettina23 As well as the great suggestion @Helen3 gave you, there is another way to collect additional payment. After the booking starts (first quest checks in), you can request additional money using the Resolution Centre. Just go to Help, type in Resolution Centre in the search bar, then Visit the Resolution Centre. Request Money. It will bring up your reservations, select the correct one, put in the amount & submit. Hope that helps! Karen

Hi Karen,

Just hoping one of these options allows me to indicate two guests.

Thanks for the help

Hi @Bettina23 The best option for changing the number of guests won't work in your case because the second guest isn't staying the full time - but if you ever need to make a change involving the whole reservation,  go to your reservations, find the guest in question & click on Change reservation.

In this case, you can either send a special offer including the current charges plus the extra guest charge as @Helen3 suggested, or go through the Resolution Centre to ask for additional payment as I suggested. Indictating this charge is for an additional guest will let Airbnb know the situation you have.

Hoping you get this straightened out easily either way  🙂 Karen

That worked Karen- Thankyou, The first option could have worked if the 1st guest hadnt already checked in so- Fantastic!

Feel much better about the 2nd guests arrival and can go about my day with peace of mind.
