Hosting and living in a different city

Hello everyone!

I am wondering has anyone ever hosted an apartment but lived in a different city. For example you live in London, but you host an apartment in Toronto. What is your experience like? Can you handle all the requirements by living in a different city?

@Teodora45  Well you certainly couldn't handle all the requirements without having a co-host who lived near the listing to oversee cleaning, meeting and greeting the guest and giving them an orientation tour, checking to make sure that there aren't more, or different guests than the ones who booked, handling any emergncy situations, and well-versed in knowing how to deal with problem guests.
