How can I decline a pre-approved guest as their account is not verified

I received 2 reservation requests to book within 24 hours both for a 12 night stay. I pre-approved  the first request, however I now want to decline as the guest does not have a verified account. How do I now decline the guest? 

I also declined the 2nd reservation as they too had a unverified account.

The article below, which I found by typing "preapproval" in the search box having clicked on "Help" on the Airbnb website, says that it's possible to remove a pre-approval.

If that doesn't work you can contact Airbnb support.

Hello @Damien9

if you have ticked the boxes in your host requirements that your guest must be verified by all means DO not cancel without first contacting air bnb by phone to explain your situation and insist that air bnb cancel the booking themselves directly with the guests so you do NOT incur a financial penalty or a penalty to your Superhost listing .

 

Get on that phone asap please!
