How to charge in a resolution case?

Hi

(I thought I posted this yesterday but can't seem to find the thread)

A guest has moved out leaving bleach stains all over the bathroom laminate floor, a broken Hemnes IKEA sofa bed, paint scuff marks on the walls, burnt stained duvet cover and tee-towel, filthy armchair.

Questions: Do I charge for new flooring or just a nominal fee? Do I charge for a new sofa bed or just a fee to try and mend it? Do I get quotes from a flooring company?

Thanks

Hi @Jane8

Sorry to see you have had a bad experience with a guest.

Have you already approached the guest regarding the damage and they have agreed to pay to put it right?  If not, you will need to open a case as soon as possible with Resolution Centre (within 48 hours of guest checkout).

You will require photos of before and after to prove the damge was caused by this guest.  You will also needs quotations and receipts to back up all requested spend.  Evidence, evidence, evidence!

I would suggest first reviewing the possibility and cost of repair to the flooring and sofabed before seeking replacement.

Hope that helps!
