How to deal with a snoring guest in a shared room?

I have a problem with a guest snoring loudly and keeping other guests awake in a shared hostel style 2 bunk bed room. One of the other guests complained. How do I solve the problem with the snoring guest who is booked for 5 more nights in a shared room?? Can I suggest she book elsewhere with a refund?

@Grace470  Snoring comes with the territory when you are in a shared room. Having said that if you wish to ask her to move then to avoid AirBnB giving her a full and total refund you should sweeten the offer by finding her suitable accommodation. Whatever you do you already likely to get a bad review from one of the parties, if not both.

@Grace470 if you want the guest to have the inconvenience of having to find somewhere and move, then I agree you should help her find somewhere else in a room by herself preferably not directly next door to another bedroom and offer to pay her Uber to transfer. There may be additional costs involved for the room.

Quite honestly if the guest snores loudly they shouldn't have booked a share room.

Alternatively you could do this for the guest who is complaining.

Whichever approach you take will involve additional work for you, likely to have some sort of cost involved for you and some tactical negotiation on your part.

By the way I notice that you do have a number of other reviews where guests have complained about late night family noise as well as noise from other guests, so it might be worth reviewing what you can do to minimise noise in the house and include quiet time rules for guests and the family when you have guests.
