This person has made an Inquiry, and is asking for my address to they can help me advertise. This bothers me. Barb in Shelton, WA
My township asked for information in order to advertise tourism possibilities in the new resident package, pamphlets, website, etc., and I gave them my Airbnb listing link, @Barbara1135 . They, of course, know my street address, but we agreed it should not be part of what they are putting out there. They wrote up a paragraph and asked me to approve it.
If you are worried that your county is up to something, though, especially since they don't seem to already have your address, then tell them you would rather not advertise outside of the Airbnb platform. Or just don't answer at all.
Unless this came as an enquiry through the system? Then do answer, but make it a "no" and flag it.
Thanks so much, really appreciate your thoughts.
Got it!
@Barbara1135 It would bother me, too. Really rude to send this as an Airbnb Inquiry message, forcing you to respond within 24 hours or get dinged. After telling them to f off, report the profile.
Hi @Sarah977 I recall receiving a similar commercial post as an inquiry and there is a prompt on the message to report it as inappropriate. Not sure where the report goes, but it must be of enough frequency to have such a system generated response.
