I HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND ASK ANY AIRBNB MANAGER  who can help me !!!!

I rented my apartment  from Street Masini in Montevideo through Airbnb during the month of June 2016 ***

The day  came when  guests should occupy the apartment (I think it was June 😎 and they  did not arrive because the mother in law of the host Laura Ashemberger Laura became ill and so  they told me when they would arrive. So I waited several days without being able to rent my apartment to others, with the calendar blocked by this reservation.

After 10 days in this situation on 19 June  Airbnb told me that the guests would not come and that the money I had collected from  that reservation would be deducted from the next reservation !!!!!!!!!!!! !

That is a total affront to me, a low blow, I consider it a steal to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I have a STRICT cancellation policy  and AIRBN should not do that !!!!!!! I understand that guests had a sick relative, and I'm sorry, but I live from  renting  my apartment. I am retired and in Uruguay retirements are miserable, not enough to live. So I need yes or yes, the  money from the rent!!!!!!!!, and if Airbnb  takes my money  away after having rented my apartment through Airbnb and having accomplished with my responsibility as a host I have also a serious problem. If There is a policy as they told me that ignores my STRICT CANCELLATION POLICY it must be Airbnb who must pay, not me who has served perfectly, as I have already mentioned,  with my responsibility as host waiting for them to come 10 days and not renting it to other people.

If Airbnb believes that the money   must be reimbursed to those people that took me 10 days to the calendar blocked for whatever reason, Airbnb must  redeem them  from his pocket, but not from mine, because doing I truly believe  is scamming me. And there were not  only 10 days of blocked calendar, but on the fly of the month I could not rent it to anyone the rest of the month. Yes, I feel cheated !!!!!

Someone PLEASE !!!!!!!  can help me not deduct me the money that I FAIRLY won fulfilling MY OBLIGATIONS and responsibilities  as host?

Please!!!! someone can intercede for me not to deduct that money  from future rents???? ( that was what Carla from Airbnb said !!!!).I host since  3 years ago through Airbnb, I have always fulfilled my obligations, I do not deserve this abuse !!!!!

i hope that Airbnb looks at the situation and treats you fairly and with respect.

Are you going through the resolution process? It sounds like you've had some form of interaction with Carla at Airbnb. If this has been documented (on the phone or email) then you need to follow that up. Triple your efforts!

 

I hope it works out for you soon, just keep in mind the Community platform isn't a direct channel to Airbnb support... we're Hosts & Guests.
