I advertised a hot tub but it broke

Hi, I advertised a hot tub in my amenities but the heater stopped working and my guests mentioned they had hoped to use it tonight. What do I do?

These things happen. Try to have it repaired ASAP, and if that's not possible, remove it from your amenities & let any guests this may impact know that it's no longer available. You could offer them some kind of concession - a nice bottle of wine (if appropriate), gift certificate, etc. or offer a bit of a refund, whatever you feel the lack of the hot tub might be worth to them. Some guests may not be too fussed about it and others may feel it's a deal breaker, you'll have to discuss it with them to see what action you need to take. Best of luck!

You have to offer a refund, then change the amenities to not have a hot tub until it has been fixed. You will also need to contact all the booked future guests and let them know, as some will have booked only because you have one advertised.

I would offer a partial refund if they choose to stay all the same, and a full refund if they choose to go elsewhere.

...and don't worry about @Mike77, he is really charming behind the gruff bearded exterior.

Now how am I supposed to have fun if you tell everyone that?
