Not clear if Airbnb automatically takes and submits to the state occupancy tax??

I can't say with any certainty, but if I had to guess I would wager it does not.  I am in Dallas, and they JUST struck a deal to begin automatically collecting occupancy tax for the city effective 5/1/17.  I would imagine a relatively sparsely-populated state like Maine would not have a deal with Airbnb in place yet.

The State of Maine is supposedly collecting taxes for all reservations made after 4/1/17.
