I am new to air b n b and my first guest has not shown up or contacted me.

My check in time is flexable and four days before check in I messageed my guest and asked what time they would be arriving. They just said 8:00, no am or pm, so I messaged back to ask am or pm and I have heard nothing from them. I'm feeling puzzled by this, since today is their check and after 8 am and no response to my text or air b n b messages.

It happens, some guests communiate better than others.  You need to decide if flexible is what you want or if you need to pin down guests further.  Setting it up as Flexible means your are Flexible.

@Tammy202:
When we first started hosting we had flexible check-in and out times but found out it caused confusion and stress on us. People were asking to come in before guests even left and some guests would stay into the afternoon because there was no stated check out time. We now put the times in the rules the guest hast to approve when booking as well as a couple times in the listing itself. It solves the AM/PM confusion too.
