I have a listing where many other hosts do as well. Can I ask them if they need any help?

I sometimes stay at this listing when it is not rented but I also own a vacation rental management company and I just reached out to another host to see if they needed any help with cleaning, etc.  She seemed extremely offended that I did that.  Is this frowned upon as I would like to ask the other hosts in that same complex?

Sometimes having the contact details for an emergency locum is extremely useful, I can't see how that would be offensive. You just got unlucky, I wait to see what other hosts say!

Why was the other host offended?

You can ask me if I need help.  I will not be offended.

I have a listing in a very popular area and I know two or three other host who would help if I was in a bind . After all that's what the true Airbnb community's supposed to be about we are not cut throat hotel on a strip in Vegas LOL
NY Style on Main Street

I am in direct competition with hotels on the strip in Los Vegas!  I would not help them, and they would not help me!  We have had words.

(Whispers: For anyone that does not know I am in Oregon.)
