the booking is for December, when will I see the deposit and how is the bond taken. How does it all work?
@Kaye44 I would suggest that you peruse all the articles on hosting in the Help section of the Airbnb site, where all this is clearly explained. One thing that might not be evident there, though, is that if you are a new host, your first guest payment won't be released until up to 30 days after your first booking. After that, you should receive your payments as normal. Hosts normally get paid out 24 hours after the guest checks in, so you have about 6 months to wait unless you get another booking before that December one..
There is no such thing as a "bond"- the guest makes their payments for their reservations to Airbnb and Airbnb releases it to the host.
