I made a reservation payment with paypal but it doesn't go through

I was pre approved for a rental.

I paid with paypal, I followed the steps and redirected to paypal where I agreed and confirmed, but seems like nothing went through.

I repeated the same steps 3 times and no difference.

The host hasnt receive my request or payment neither.

There is somethig wrong that I am not aware?

Happened to me today. Plus in checking my online banking, paypal DID pay it but it was immediately returned from airbnb to my bank account via PayPal. I have spoken 3x each today with the bank, airbnb. No one knows how or why this happened. The reservation is about to scroll off unfortunately. So frustrating
