I received a request from a woman and she answered all my questions EXCEPT how many guests are included in the reservation. I've asked her to confirm and she didn't answer. This is a room and bath in our home. She said shes coming to town for a competition. The only one is for kids. I'm concerned she's going to show up with a bunch of kids! We say we aren't child friendly. I'd consider one but no more. What do I do if she doesn't answer? I'm on the brink of supehost and don't wnwa this to ruin it.
@Donna473 I'd send another message, saying something like "Still waiting for response to # of guests on reservation. Would hate to have to turn you away at the door because you showed up with more people (adults or children) than you booked for."
I'll second Sarah & add you might tell her that if she's bringing more than your maximum it's important that she cancel her booking and find one that fits her needs asap- before other listings fill up. You are just being a good host and looking out for her interests. To look out for your own interests you are doing all of this messaging thru the airbnb site, right?
In the context of how we manage our listings "Not suitable" is a friendlier way of saying "Hell no" My listing is not suitable for events or pets and there will be neither puppies or parties cuz I say so. Sally
Have you tried calling or texting her? If she answers and/or texts back, then follow up with another message through airbnb recapping your conversation.
