I received the demand of return half of the payment
Hi... I had a booking from May 1 till May 8. Before the booking I told the guest that our booking policy is strict and if in case of the cancelation it will hard to return and also I gave her 10% discount. She place d her booking and finally she didn’ t come to my place. Today she sent me a message that she wants to return half of the payment because she didn’t stay with us. In this case, should I return half of the payment. I need some help....
@Baigal0 Did she cancel, or simply not show up? If she cancelled, were you able to rebook any of those dates? If so, it would be fair to refund her whatever you earned for another booking for those dates.
If you couldn't rebook the dates, either because she never cancelled, so the dates were blocked oryou couldn't get another booking, then, no, do not refund her anything. You made the policy clear to her, it's her problem, not yours.
