I seem to have lost my superhost status but I have no idea why... Can someone walk me through this experience?

@Jackie172 you cancelled a booking in March 2019. Once a host cancels a booking, you lose the ability to become eligible for superhost for 12 months from the date of the cancellation.

Thank you for responding. I think I made the mistake of being the party to cancel Charlotte's reservation. I should have asked her to cancel. It was a mututal cancellation due to sudden muddy road conditions and I helped her find a more suitable lodging for the weekend. Shoud l I have requested she cancel so that it would not reflect poorly on me?

You should never cancel on behalf of a guest (see Airbnb Help Centre host cancellations). This is something they should be asking Airbnb to do.
I suggest you give Airbnb a call and refer to conversations in your Airbnb messaging where she asks to cancel due to poor road conditions and see if they will reallocate this as a guest cancellation.
Yes, you should have requested Guest cancel.
Indeed, Host should never initiate Cancellation requested by Guest!
In this case, best you can do is contact Airbnb to explain the situation and see if they'll rescind your cancellation.

@Jackie172, one more piece of advice: you should add a response to the cancelation review letting those looking at your listing know the reason for your canceling. I would be hesitate to book with you thinking you may cancel on me at last minute. "Charlotte and I mutually agreed to cancel this reservation as the road conditional were not favorable. I was happy to help her find other accommodations in Vermont and hope she had a lovely weekend." Something like that.
Hi Emilia, many thanks for this advice. In the business of life I’ve overlooked this detail. I would feel the same way if I saw this on a listing. I will add to the statement. Peace!
