I still have not been paid for a reservation made for 12 days from now. Can I cancel it?

I waived my inital policy of 7 days minimum to 5, now they want to shorten that also. I have no deposit or cleaning services on the payment price either, just night of rent. I denied their request, but still have not been paid. Can I cancel this reservation? I have a bad feeling about it. How do we get ahold of an actua; person in management to talk to?

@Dana330, Hosts are not paid by Airbnb until the day after the guest checks in. If your guest checks in on June 20th, you will get an e-mail on June 21st that the money was transfer. When you receive the money will depend on your bank/payment method.

For new hosts, payments may be held for 30 days before being released although this is not always the case.

@Dana330 I am sure you have your rules set up for a reason, guests that don't agree with them from the beginning tend to be bad guests. If you feel like you need to add a cleaning fee or deposit to your listing, you should. And about the payment @Emilia42 explained everything. Guests pay as soon as they make the reservation, but you don't get that money until 24h after check in. If you feel like you still need to contact Airbnb, here is how

Hi @Dana330 🙂

I suggest you read all about the basics when starting up your little airbnb business. You can find a help section on your dashboard and also this community is floaded with information.

I'm sure it will make you feel more comfortable when you know how things work. When you don't it is understandable to feel uncomfortable.

Best, Sandra
