I wasn't able to respond to a guest reservation, can I contact the guest to apologise?

I got a request over xmas and didnt see it due to being out of internet connection , now the request has expired is there anyway i can contact the gest to apologise?

Go into your messages on the Airbnb platform, click on that guest and you should be able to reply there. I usually use a computer so not sure about the app. I've had extended conversations with guests whose inquiry has already expired in this way.

If it is possible for you, could you click on : Messages/ Hosting/ Written masage of guest request. So you could see a page where you can write.
