I would also like to KNOW where all of my personal information has gone

Seeing as thought I told everyone last week the site was hacked,  now that I have been proven right.  I would like to know where my personal data has gone?  The same data that the hackers were using to access my accounts last night, but failed because I stepped in just in time.  The people that were "working with me" have all vanished with my personal data, very sensitive information?  This seems like a really big problem that needs to be addreesed. I don't care if they guests have three or four pillows anymore, I want to know where my money and account information disappeared to?

This is to do with the Computer you bought off Ebay?

David

Oh, no come to find out it had nothing to do with the computer I bought on ebay.  I have poasted in a lot of places, but let me explain to you what happened.  I think anyone, for that matter will find this veryfascinationg.  Interestingly, whenever I get strange looks like "this guy must be crazy".  Today, when I am at the bank trying to figure out what to do about the accounts that Airbnb have, attempted to break into, but were unsuccessful. I was explaining to them what I had been seeing, and the way they responded to me told me all I needed to know.  These bank officials have been briefed on this type of hacking.  He descirbed it to me the best way I know how and he looked at me like, "yep, they told us this was going to happen" and here we go".

At any rate, I was to get a 50 dollar refund for a key that was stolent and other things from the last guests.  Well, I always get my payout sent to my savings account, so i had no idea why they sent it to my checking account, until I saw that it was "processing" last night, and I guess they must have been trying to time it just right to be able to extract all of the money ouf of my account because I got an email from airbnb that said "my payout method was just updated", and then the email disappeared.  SEeriously, it disapppeared and the bankers did not find this strnage at all. So, anyway I immediately call the bank and freeze my accounts, while Im doing that I am getting texts messages to my phone wanting me to confirum by bank account, so they (the hackers apparently were working for airbnb) were trying to get into my account, but they were unduccesful.

So, I was at the bank today and I wante dto get all new account informations, but basically noboyd has had to deal with this and didn't really want to go to tall the trouble since thre were no unauthorized charges, but I kepts aying I know therre aren't any, but they have all of my information, and they attempted to last night, so am i supposed to wait until the fruaud occurs to get new accounts"? That's basically what they diceided.  Here is the interesting part, whenver they had failed to gain acess to my account, I sent Airbnb messenger area or whatever a message saying that I was right that the site is hacked because suddenly my computer and my iphones,, all showed perfectly much clearer secure sites of what I would have thoguht to expect earlier,...So, its as if thhat message I sent saying I know you did it, and your busted cause you didnge the money, but honestly I don' think they had planst to return if they had gotten the money or not....I contacted support early this morning and asked what am I supposed to do, thes said my "special sevice" department would be in contact with me ASAP.  I haven't heard back from anyone, not Airbnb support, not my service team, no one!  My theory is that Airbnb had hired a group of hackers to run a departmetn somewhere maybe in India or Russia, and they are GONE...and everyhing seems to be just ine wiith my computer now.  How abouut that for a story?

Sorry, for all the typing errors.  I got excited someone cared to find out and went a little to fast, msissing  some letters here and there...lol.. I sitll honeslty don't know, but I do know Airbnb has my account information, and my account was attemtpetd to be brokend into last night, and today I have yet to hear froma a single person eeven though I have been demading someone tell me what has happened here.  They are meeting somehwer trying to figure out what to do about thsi very potiential disaster on their hands.

But, all of my devices after I contacted them and told them I had intercepted the email and theiy were unsuccesful at cleaning me out,,,, my computer and phone problems went away and so did they....haven't heard from them.  Now that I think about it Airbnb support wasn't on Twitter, which was where I ulimately had to go find someone for help.  I told them what had happened and the last I head they were coing to contact me ASAP at five am this morning.  I don't think they are ever contacing me, and my ifomration is swith them or somewhere, and nobody is telling me!

Omg! All of my emails on my iPhone are in Russian!!!!!!

I see they are doing a good job at hiding this information. Look my LinkedIn account has now been breached, but you know what the difference is? That account does not have my banking information!

They are also able to go in and change words or purposefully misspelll words. This is not just an Airbnb problem. This is a World Wide Web problem. If some of you Americans haven’t realized that all of your communications are under attack by Russia, then you aren’t paying attention!

@John28  If the whole Airbnb site had been hacked, this forum would be inundated right now with posts to that effect. Individual accounts do sometimes get hacked, as when as guest told me she pulls her credit card info off the site after she has finished a stay because she once had bookings made on her account which weren't hers. Not being of criminal mind nor IT proficient, I don't know the myriad ways hackers might be able to do this.

@John28  You need to log on to your accounts from a different computer ask a friend to bring over his laptop. Change your passwords for your accounts on his machine. Do not download anything from any of your sites to his machine or open anything from your emails or accounts on his computer, just change the passwords. Both your phone (yes they can be compromised too) and computer have been compromised and you are making it worse by still using it and logging into more and more of your accounts. Either bring both to a professional computer repair shop to have them fix the issues or run both a virus program and a malware program with the latest definitions on both your phone and computer. Stop logging into sites ASAP on your phone and computer. Call your bank, PayPal, Ebay, and credit card companies you use online have them put a security password on the accounts now. Ask that they mail them to you only. They will probably just issue all new credit cards to be safe and may close or put a hold on the other accounts also. Seriously, you yourself are making this worse every day.

Hold on a second, I have not logged in and out of anything.  I have one laptop and two i phones, and it is not the devices that have been compromised b/c I am not able to login to my bank account but once.  I went to the bank yesterday or now technically on Monday after I was receiving text messages to login to my  bank that I did not ask for, and I have not logged into this site but once.  My bank new exactly what I was talking about and they sure as hell didn't blame me for the problem.  They know about this b/c apparently they have been told to be on the lookout, and they wanted to see the texts messages I had gotten to that I didn't request, and then well....I want give out any more details, but it is NOT ME or MY Devices....have you noticed that there are also many other people who are saying the same thing, but in true Airbnb fashion when something goes wrong, it must be the hosts fault.

I just looked at my notifications and it says everything four times.  I would just like to know why I got a payout into an account that I do not ever get payouts in on the same day I also removed paypal from the list, if the payout was not switched by me, and according to security here, my account has not been breached, then I do not understand how that is possible.  The payout was switched to one account and then back to the other one, and I didn't do it, and my devices didn't do it.  Don't blame this on me.  I am a vocal opponent of Trump, so I have been a target of the ongoing campaign to disrupt our election process is the only thing I can think of, but I am not logging in or off anywhere, but it shows that you made this comment four times in my activity log.  So, something is off.  I literally had all devices beside me looking at them and they were all doing the exact same thing keeping up word for word as I typed until I sent the message, then I have no idea and still don't who is really Airbnb and who is not.  There is no way to tell.  It apparently doesn't matter if you are on the secure site or not, they have made a duplicate secure site that sits on top of the original secure site and it is undetectable.  If you are right and it a virus or malware on my devices then Apple has a major issue.  I was outside speaking with my guests for several hours and left everything alone in my house, when I came back in I had six missed phone calls from people I do not know and no one left a message.  It is a wordl wide web issue.  Hackers are attacking our communications in all areas, and I take great offense that you think I am making it worse by pointing the issue out.  I haven't logged in or out of anything, so if you see that " I " have it was not me.

Just one more thing, I have only used one device to access Airbnb, and that is my laptop.  I have sent emails from my phones, but the app doesn't even work on my phone.  I do not get notifications, and when I login it won't go anywhere but the first home screen or whatever, I can't pull up my calendar, and I certainly can't join any discussions.  Everything has been typed once on one laptop.
