It's not that complicated, discuss about the things that would upset you and they are probably your house rules. Mine are very simple:

1. Help us with our waste sorting scheme
2. Clean the things you use in the kitchen
3. Be calm, like we are

Of course these get more complex when renting a full apt/house, like you are. Are guests allowed? Parties? Think about the problematic situations 🙂
