Hi, I'm using airbnb since 2013 as guest, but now got an ugly apartment for a too high price! Cockroaches want to be my friends now.
I read now about smart pricing and stuff, were the airbnb algorithms set the price.
But that should not produce unrealistically high prices, right?
What is best way to solve the problem, when the host doesn't want to see the problem?
As a guest, I know the market here in Yerevan, you get for 50$ a nice apartment.
Now I booked one for close to 70$, and it has cockroaches, damaged furniture, not renovated since ca. 1985, old dirt, only cleaned a bit on surface and so on...
From my experience by ca. 8 bookings in Yerevan and three times in last two weeks, this shady apartment could cost only 19$. By high demand maybe 25$, but never more.
Thanks
@Thomas2913 you 'know the market' and yet you booked a place that was way too expensive. Why?
@Thomas2913 Yes, why. And, are you saying from the pics you couldn’t see the rental was outdated?
