If the UK leaves the European Union, how much will it affect the travel patterns of European guests?

Does anyone knows?

People travelled before the EU (or EEC) was created, they will travel if/after the UK leaves the EU. People visit Norway and Switzerland by the millions and they are not in the EU. I really doubt it will have any impact.

The only impact would be where countries introduce additional visa restrictions or if the UK was to do so - as most countries have an agreed reciprocal arrangements with individual countries. At worst it would mean all people travelling to the UK (who are not resident or citizens) might have to apply for a visa of some sort.

Personally I have found that price of a visa is a deterrent or invitation to visit. We recently decided not to visit India as for a 5 day trip it was £100 for a visa - too much - we went to Tajikistan.

But who knows....

Then along came Covid19 to throw the spanner in the works to us all.

There's bundles of different Trade & other Agreements that will need to be addressed & perhaps changed that people are not aware of.

Legislation is also a never ending can of worms.

From what I've read some are trying to bring in a National ID card like Tony Blair tried to introduce in 1986 & was subsequently thrown out 4 yrs down the track.

Note the pattern of Financial & economic crisses, Novel viruses, unrest ....

Did they have a Civil Emergency and Directors of Health in charge of our countries during the post War eras?

Or did they have Gvt ministers?

2020 should have been a year of commemorating 100 yrs of World Peace after the turbulences of World War 1.

Let's all join together and get life back on track for the betterment of all past, current and future.

Who would have though that the disruptions we have all had to travel freely would have and still be ahppening?

Here's an article from 1920   with references to In the year 2020 that may interest some relating to life in 1820, 1920 and 2020 and Medical Matters.
