Instant Book Cancellations

I am both an Airbnb user and an Airbnb provider.

I just made an instant book reservation for accomodation in Queenstown, South Africa, paid for by credit card.

Within 5 mins I received a cancellation with the comment back from the woman advertising on Airbnb to say that that the accomodation is fully booked. Is it possible on Airbnb to allow Instant Bookings, when the accomodation is already booked?

Needless to say, I am not happy at having my time wasted and expectations deflated.

It could of course happen that the calendar was not updated or that calendar sync was out of sync, causing a double booking.  As a host yourself, you surely do understand that you may cancel for any reason, but face the penalties.  With instant book one may also cancel a few times penalty free if one is not comfortable with the guest.
