Is anyone else having trouble receiving notifications that a guest is inquiring about you property?

HELP! In the past two weeks, we have had three inquiries about or property, but neither I or my co-host have received any of the push notifications or texts that we have had since we started hosting in 2016. Only an email is coming, but am I supposed to check my emails every 5 minutes on the chance that an inquiry has come through? It doesn't give me the ability for a real time response that Airbnb expects. I have reached out to Airbnb, and I received a flowery response as how we are a valued host, and that it was just a glitch, and shouldn't happen again, except it did. The only reason we caught it is because we were checking for a better result from Airbnb.

@Lynn201 I have not had it happen, but there are a number of people experiencing the same issue you are.

If you have a smart phone (iPhone or Android phone) you can turn on notifications from the app (that can act as a sort of backup).

Contact Airbnb support about this and see if they can offer any useful help. I am unsure if anyone knows that reason this happens, or has a solution.

Maybe try going to your profile and turn SMS notifications off, and then turn SMS notification back on?

I have the same problem and now will lose my Superhost status because of it. I called Customer Service and they are HORRIBLE. They explained it's a known bug, they can't do anyting, they have different departments  that don't communicate (like that's my problem), its a glitch "it's not personal" (very condescending as if I think it is a "personal" thing because I will not accept that they have zero responsibility to have an accurate Superhost award system that does not punish hosts for THEIR glitches). They said airbnb is "a self-help system" that expects hosts to report things in Feedback (which, by the way, when you do tells you that they will not get back to you, thank you for wasting your time submitting your urgent concern into a black hole that may make our system better someday) and not to customer service. Do these people receive any training at all? It sounds like they are 19, sitting in a loud party room and just smoked a bowl, highly skilled in "passing the buck" - and that's including the "manager" I asked to be transferred to. What are all the fees they collect for then if they can't have responsibility for removing at least the consequences to Superhost status that their bugs create, if nothing else?? So consequences of bugs are 100% on hosts who have 0 control over bugs?  Come on Airbnb - you can do better!

@Vera12 omg that's awful! and totally agree about their tone -- I had a guest with air conditioner issues one evening and while it was only 9pm when she messaged us I never saw it until I checked my email at 9am the next day! unacceptable and totally affected my review from her as she was NOT happy. When I wrote to air bnb they blamed the issue on the AC so "not their problem" and I had to explain 3 times that it wAS their problem bc I could not address it because of their messaging issue, and no answer.

Hi, I've been experiencing this too and ALL of my notification settings are on proplery! I've reached out to air bnb but no response -- anyone want to start tweeting at them to address this issue?

This is also happening to us.  Contract Airbnb as this is a problem and will cost them money when guest move to other companies offering this service.  Inquires are not getting through.  So we have a hot buy with money in hand and no one to take the sale.  Marketing 101.  Make sure some is at the register.  Can't keep the lights on if you don't close the sale.

I'm getting inquiries but they are bogus.  I accept and never hear from them again.  They are always requesting a same day rental, obviously not looking at the calendar availabililty.  They nearly always come during the middle of the night, which causes issues with my response rate.  It appears someone may have hacked into the ABNB system and is using it to verify active phone numbers as afterwards I will always be bombarded with phone calls and texts where either no one is on the line when I answer, or the texts are all links to pornographic sites.
