Hi there,
I am a new host and had my first guest recently , everything went well except the payment, Airbnb transfered 69$ as it shows in the e-mail, but in my bank I have received only $49, is this normal? I cant understand how they would charge me this much.
Would be thankful if you could help me to understand how it works.
Thanks
Hello
Your message may say some place where you are, but I haven't really seen that.
I recently stayed in an Airbnb suite in Canada, and the host confirmed that when Airbnb sends him money, it is sent directly into his account at the Bank of Montreal, at no cost to him.
I have a listing for my holiday home and asked the Royal Bank of Canada how much I would be charged for an incoming transfer, and was told $15 CDN.
So, until another customer of the RBC contributes, the answer would seem to be "It depends on who your bank is".

I have a listing for my holiday home and asked the Royal Bank of Canada how much I would be charged for an incoming transfer, specifically from Airbnb, and was told $15 CDN.
So, until another customer of the RBC contributes, the answer would seem to be "It depends on who your bank is".

Hi Mary,
I think you should check with your bank, it's probably bank charges. Haven't had problem with Airbnb credits to my account.
