Is the host a fraud?

Hi there,

I'd really appreciate some help. I booked a room/ one bdroom apartment in Tokyo from a well-reviewed family. I paid through Air BnB and the booking and payment were accepted. However, I have had an email response from 'R2A Team' saying they are taking over the family's bookings and will be helping from now on. The reviews have all said they delt with the family - nothing about R2A Team.

I assumed they were an agent of some sort? When I asked to give more information about who R2A are, they didn't give me any. They have responded quickly and tried to put me at ease - but I can't find out any more information about them/ their ligitimacy.

Please let me know your thoughts and if you think this is strange - if so, what do I do? First time Air BnB'r here!

That does sound a little fishy - contact Airbnb (they are fastest through @AirbnbHelp on Twitter). It's possible that the hosts' account has been hacked.
