Just getting started...

Hello everyone.  I know you all have been here so I am searching for some answers that might help me as a beginner.

I've registered, named my vacation spot, uploaded pictures and input banking info so as to receive funds.  I have set up weeks of availability and responded back and forth with a few respondents.

I've established, per suggestion, my spot to be instant-accept (or words to that effect) and have received 2 confirmed appointments for June and July.  It is my understanding that the appointments won't instant-accept unless the applicants meet certain criteria.  Correct?  And, do you experienced users of Airbnb suggest and use the instant-accept.

My 2nd question is, how/when are funds transferred to my account for the transaction?  Are they paid in advance?  Must I wait until after the party has enjoyed their stay?  How do I charge for these reservations?  Is that portion handled by the site without need of any submission of request by me?  Thank you in advance for any assistance given.

Wow, @Joseph137  you certainly have a lot of questions which are just the right ones, but I think you will find that the Help Center is a great resource with clear steps about this platform.  On your action bar go to Help and scroll down to Help Center.  Look to the left and select "getting started".  Spend time reading what you have questios about.

Frankly, most experienced hosts would suggest you turn off Instant Book until you are more experienced.  Many, many costly mistakes have been made due to the learning curve.

Good luck with this business.  As you find you need support or clarification, this forum will be a resource for you.
