Leave It Like You Found It -EXTRA CLEANING FEES

It would be so wonderful if the ‘leave it like you found it’ standard was better serviced for hosts so there was not so much time and resources on the back end of a reservation when this is not upheld.  Hosts have the ‘burden of proof’ for damages, all the while cleaning and sanitizing and preparing for our next guests.  ….why why why are we treated this way?  Can procedures be better placed for us so we feel protected and cared for, rather than at the police station making a statement to wait to be decided if our claim merits being arrested or compensated?

 

there just isn’t time i between reservations and cleaning companies appointments to take a photo shoot of a bad cleaning situation after checkout.

@Ingrid345  How would you propose it be handled, then? If you don't take time stamped photos after a bad guest checks out and before the next guest checks in, then it's just the host's word against the guest's. There needs to be some sort of proof.

And every host is not necessarily honest.

That’s Airbnb’s respectable dilemma:

—guest v host 

—verification of truthful conditions 

—support of guests 

—support of hosts 

 

……a thought 

 

if the guest didn’t take pics and verify they left it as they checked in…..……

when a host (especially superhosts) have receipts from their cleaning services to verify 

 

….idk but what is the bare minimum protocols for success for all including Airbnb, hosts and guests?
