Long term booking interrupted.

We have run into a situation where we have a guest interested in a long term rental. Approximately 90 days. Well there is one weekend booked in the middle of the stay. The guest went ahead and booked. We went in Ans adjusted the nightly rate to offer the monthly discount. But our guest is being charged extra fees and taxes because she had to book a short stay… 11 days and then the rest in a separate booking. Is there a work around for this so our guest won’t have to pay extra occupancy taxes and fees. We are in Georgia by the way.

I am a little confused.  Are you keeping the weekend reservation and having the long term guest book around the 2 days?  Have you spoken with the weekend guest and given them some incentive to cancel such as paying all unrefundable fees?  Your long term rate will not be applied by the system for a booking less than 29 days.  Air BNB fees and any taxes are based on the rate charged, so if you want to accommodate the long term guest, just send a special offer and the fees will be adjusted accordingly.  Make sense?
