Moderate cancellation - payouts reduced within 5 days of check in?

I have moderate cancellation policy on my 2 places in Edinburgh, Scotland. I’m getting many cancellations because of Covid, a couple that we’re within 5 days of the check in date. Why has my pay out been reduced? I can only find information on Airbnb that talks about refunds up to 5 days before check in. After that I expected a full payout. Has something changed? (These aren’t covered by the Corona extenuating policy), the payouts were reduced immediately on my cancellation mortification emails.
I sent UK help a DM on Twitter on Thursday but imagine their backlog is huge. Surely these payouts should be full ones?
