Hi everyone
This seems to be a systemic issue. I need to contact Airbnb (Australia) directly as I needed to cancel a reservation and don't want to lose my Superhost status.
My father died, my mother have been critically ill and the guest was staying on both of their birthdays. I need my space to for those days.
How to do talk to or email them?
I am sorry about the death of your father @Gai1.

Thanks Deb and Dave, I appreciate the sentiment Gai
Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad earlier this year. My suggestion would be to email the guests, tell them the situation and ask them to cancel their reservation I would also reimburse them their booking fee as a gesture of them accommodating the change. The faster you let them know the better odd they can find a new place to stay.
This is something that Airbnb needs to handle for you @Gai1 and they will in these circumstances. Having the guest cancel is not a good idea and you are then adding stress on them. Also, you cannot refund the guest service fee through the Airbnb system so I am not sure how you would reimburse them that.
