My listing isnt showing up in search

A lots of friends have advised me that my listing does not show up in the search results. I have checked on computers other than mine and it actually has stopped coing up in search results. I am losing revenue even though I have reduced the prices significantly. Can anyone help??

@Ayush0

If you have Instant Book turned on (and it appears that you do), then a likely reason that your place isn't showing up when you and your friends search is that you're/they're not logged in. If Instant Book hosts check off either of the two boxes requiring bookers to have either government-verified IDs or positive host recommendations, then a listing won't be shown to lookers who aren't logged in because those two requirements can't be verified.

Try logging in (and make sure that you, yourself, have a gov't ID on file and some positive host recommendations).

Hello Dede

Thanks for responding. I just checked and found that I do not have additional requirements such as govt id and host recommendations for instant booking of my listing. So I believe this may not be the reason as to why my property is not showing up. Any other possible reasons or suggestions?
I haven;t been getting any new bookings despite of offering the lowest price in my area : (
Please help!

Hi @Ayush0,

@Dede0 has made a valid point.

I just had a look and I think part of the reason you can't find it is just that there is lots of competition in Melbourne. I did find your listing when searching for Southbank but only after selecting certain filters, see below:

I would recommend having a look at this Help Guide 'Why can't I find my listing in the search results'. There is also a great Community Help Guide with tips on how you can improve your listing to get more bookings

Hope that's useful!

Hi Kirstie, I scrolled through about 300 properties listed in southbank on my friend's computer, couldn't find mine.  It should at least have come up on last page without filters. I have 5 star ratings.
Also, Dede's point was not applicable to my listing because I do not require id or host recommendation as per my settings.

Thanks and regards

Hi @Ayush0,

I understand your frustration, especially if you have good ratings. If there are many properties available in your area however, the maximum of listings that appear in search are 300, so if yours is not in the first 300 it will not show unless some filters are chosen. Other hosts suggest making minor changes and updating the calendar every day to keep your listing active and further up the search results. I would also suggest looking at the Community Help Guides I sent you above for tips.

I'm sorry I cannot be of more help than that, you may wish to contact Airbnb support directly if you feel that the actions you are taking aren't helping to improve the placing in the search results.
