My listing not appearing/Link not working!

Hi guys!

I recently listed a house on Airbnb and I cannot find it in the search or maps. Also when sharing the link to another person to see if they can view it, it doesn't work and takes them to the Airbnb home page instead!

This is my listing link with the listing name as: "Perfect Home for Superbowl! Comfy and cozy.":

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/21506178?s=51

Have you guys experienced anything like this?

It can take upto 24 hours before the listings are fully active.

Then this link will show the 2 listing as a result:

https://www.airbnb.com/s/homes?host_id=454121992&map_toggle=true

So maybe wait another 12 - 24 hours before contacting Airbnb

BTW

I could only see the listings on your homepage, having the same title:

https://www.airbnb.com/users/454121992/listings

But when opening them, the 403 error shows up

(useally appearing when a listing is suspended by Airbnb)

I see your listing is working now. How did you get it resolved?

Hi @Stephanie   can you please take a look at this link? I have a reservation for this week  as it’s not working.

@Jennifer3124  How long ago did you put up the listing? And why do you have 2 listings for the same property on your profile?

And this is the URL for your listing:

Hi @Stephanie ,

I am having the same issue of my link not working for anyone & my listing not showing on the map:

https://www.airbnb.com/h/athenaspot

Same deal for myself. @Stephanie

URL works for me when logged in, but when sharing the link or trying it in a browser that isn't logged in, it goes to the Airbnb homepage.

Did Airbnb ever resolve this for you?

Some time after I posted this, someone from Airbnb reached out to me to let me know that a neighbor had reported a party (that didn't happen) and they had flagged my account and made it unavailable for booking without letting me know. After their "investigation" it showed back up. It's been fine since then.

So they punished first before doing an investigation? Unbelievable.

I'm glad someone reached out at least. We're still waiting.

We are experiencing this same glitch for all our listings, and I'm trying to gather as much information as possible to decide how far to escalate it (and I don't mean just through the phone tree. We've tried that already). Has anyone been in touch with Airbnb staff about this issue? More importantly, has anyone found a solution?

For context, we were one of the early adopters of Airbnb back in the late 2000's and run all the business for our 5* eco-retreat through the Airbnb platform. While we have had small issues with the platform over the years, they pale in comparison to this. Not being able to share or get bookings for our eco-retreat during this already difficult time has shaken our trust in Airbnb to the core. We've already sent a notice to our 3000+ followers on social media that Airbnb has let us down and to send booking requests to us directly. In the meantime, we have been frantically trying to set up a presence on other booking platforms.

If anyone on Airbnb staff is reading this, please do everything in your power to pump this issue up to the top of your queues. There are issues and then there are ISSUES. A glitch that crashes our business and destroys the livelihood of not just us (the hosts) but the local staff and families we employee is beyond acceptable. Then to be repeatedly fed canned non-commital responses about how you are "looking into it" adds insult to injury.

We may start moving our business to other platforms, but we are not going to drop this issue or just accept the losses we have incurred as a result of this glitch. Airbnb needs to start acting responsibly, starting with answering our calls for help.

@Ulrich-And-Elisabeth0

I see you have 8 listings.

But none of them is in the search system:

https://www.airbnb.com/s/homes?host_id=758847&map_toggle=true

It often means the listings are blocked/deactivated by Airbnb or they do not have any available dates to book.

Did you try to unlist and relist again ?

Best regards,

Emiel

Internally, the listings are active with plenty of availability for booking.

Yes, I tried unlisting and relisting, and it did not fix it.

I also tried creating a duplicate listing and creating a new listing. These had the same issue with the URL's redirecting to the homepage.

@Ulrich-And-Elisabeth0

In the past everything worked well, i guess ?

Do you remember when it started to fail ?

Can it be related to any action, source of trouble (bad review, complaining guest, local regulations which limit hosting etc) or whatever showed up as unuseal at that time ?

The listings act like being locked by Airbnb:

- being not in the search system

- redirected.to homepage

IMO this issue can only be solved by Airbnb.
