Dear airbnb hosts,
Do you have the same problem? what would be your advice to resolve this? I have a potential guest (the first one as a matter of fact since I'm new to hosting) who had tried multiple times to book my property for a 3 night stay and he claimed that the transaction would not go past the payment page and it just hangs. Your advice would be very much appreciated.

The potential guest needs to contact Airbnb directly. This is why you pay fees to Airbnb - to handle the money. It's great that you want to help out, but there is not much you can do.
It may also be a scam - there must be a good reason why his payment methods are being refused. Whatever you do don't accept cash payment instead.

The potential guest is a newbie to airbnb (account is registered this month) and he actually proposed that he visits the home first and arrange the booking accordingly. I did tell him he has to book through online. I wonder what are the potential scams out there; I imagine there are scammers pretending to be hosts scamming guests... but I wonder if hosts have been scammed before?
