Most definitely if the courts hold that Uber workers are employees and entitled to employment benefits and medical insurance, then Airbnb must be held to the same standard. Given that Airbnb customer service team messages at all hours of the day demanding responses within 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc. It only takes a couple of complaints to the State of California regarding misclassification of employment status to get the ball rolling. I do feel that I should have benefits, income security, and health insurance for all of the drama experienced on the Airbnb platform.
