New host - how to add taxes to the listing

Hi All,

I amin Turks and Caiocs Islands, and just listed my property, by law we have to collect 12% tax for the TCI Goverment. How can I add this on my listing price, as I dont want anyone thinking that i done so intentionally.

There is no option to do this on the other fees...

Thank you in advance,

Cesar

@Cesar5 Search the community for Occupancy taxes.  There have been several posts on this subject which I'm sure you will find helpful.

If Airbnb is not collecting the taxes automatically there's no way to add it manually... you need to aggregate the taxes on your price... If you want you can write on the house description that the price ALREADY includes the local tax

So I'm going to pay taxes on taxes?

I’m having the same issue here. I have no way of adding my taxes to my listing, but I see that air BnB is collecting taxes. Any idea what’s going on? I’m trying to update my listing for summer and the time is running out, as I’m getting many reservation requests, and I’m afraid to add any bookings, if I don’t know the tax situation.

You can check yourself which taxes are collected by Airbnb, consult the Help file or check your listing, both mention: Sales and Use Tax (Maryland ). The percentage = 6%

Other taxes can be added in the "taxes" section of your listing(s), but you must have activated "professional tools" in your listing.

Hi there, I know that the post you have above is VERY old but I thought I would email you to see if you still have issues with your listings.

I operate Gracehaven Villas Ltd in TCI and we have our own rentals which are highly successful. We regularly achieve  80-90% monthly occupancy and have already 500 nights booked for 2022 across 2 properties at premium rates above the local competition. Also, our 2022 average booked rates have increased 67% over 2021 rates. This is achieved through a full understanding  and careful management of AIrBNB listing rankings.

I am extending our operations to offer listing management / co-hosting / property management for other owners who are interested in increasing their revenues on vacation rentals in Turks and Caicos and who are not deemed to be direct competitors for our own properties.

I thought I would reach out to see if you or other owners you are aware of have any interest in this.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions either here or at   jeremy@gracehavenproperty.com
