New hosts but no bookings yet!

We have had lots of views but no bookings. Is it the time of year or is there something we could be doing better to get bookings?

@Linda-Michael0 It could be a variety of things:  time of year, more supply than demand, less people travelling.  I'm in the same boat...no bookings for December and I'm in California!

Here's an excellent post about search works so you can see if maybe there is a way to adjust your listing so it is more prominent in search results which may get more bookings:

Linda/Michael,

One idea I have is adding a bit of a description about yourselves on your profile page.  Something about why you chose to host, what your interests are, things you like to do in your city, or whatever. I am not sure it will make a huge difference but it allows people to have a little more of a human connection over the web. Other than that it is clear you put a lot into your listing, with great pictures, descriptions. Possibly its the time of year with the holidays coming up. Either way, wishing you good luck on getting your first booking soon..and many more! 🙂

PS. Take a look at how you compare to comparable listings and if they have great reviews already you may need to be a little extra competitive starting out.
