New listing but ranking low

Hi! 

We have just listed our loft in Bellerive, Tasmania but our ranking is quite low.

Reason why I am concerned is that many in the Airbnb community mention that the platform places new listing at the top in order to get a few reservations and "start the ball rolling"...

Is this a myth?

And should maybe utilize Google AdWords to book the place?

@Julie1195   AirBnB gives all new listings a bump at first to get the bookings and reviews coming in. After that you're on your own.

We were wondering as well..is there a way to get our listing up in the ranks? 

It seems like there are older listings way up at the top.. just frustrating..

@Lori unfortunately there is no answer from other hosts. I have been reading a lot of articles about advertising, but personally I'm not sure yet what to do. I might set up a Google advertising campaign for a fortnight as see how it goes...If I do I will let you know about the progress 🙂
