Is it common for potential inquiries to want to view the space before hand?

If you decide to do it, be sure to take advantage of the Airbnb assistance.

Most hosts don't allow it.  If you have sufficient photos of your space, that's all a prospective guest needs.

I'm curious as to how the guest will see the property before booking.

Are they local? Then why do they need the listing? 

Are they booking for someone else? 3rd party bookings are prohibited by Airbnb.

You may need to ask some more questions of the potential guest, especially before you give them a tour of your listing.
