Currently, I have two guests,staying in my apartment - the guest who originally booked the apartment will be arriving two days later, unknown to me at the time, until he had turned up!The other guest was to leave the apartment the same day so that the guest who had made the original booking took their place! Can I changed because it is a third person considering the booking was originally for two persons?

Airbnb policy states the following:
"We require Airbnb reservations booked for personal travel to be booked by the person who's going to stay at the listing. Instead of making a reservation for someone else, consider referring them to Airbnb."
The scenario you've explained violates this policy, at least for those first few days. I would speak to the guest who reserved your listing and see if they are aware of this and then report this activity to Airbnb.

Thank you so much for your detailed information - I followed exactly the process you recommend, immediately when I became aware of this guest behavior. I contacted Airbnb who advised me to discuss the violation with the guest. The guest was in total denial he had done anything wrong and accused me being unreasonable.
I have contacted Airbnb to update them on current state of play - (yesterday ) to date no response!
