Per person rates versus per room rate

Per person rates versus per room rate

Hello Fellow Hosts,

I have the following scenario... Out of season I charge a per person rate i.e. R200 - no problem here, the "extra costs" then add the per person R200 to the total if there is more than one guest... HOWEVER...

In Peak Season I charge a per unit rate, whether you are 1 of 6 it will be a fixed price... Now my dilemma is that if you set your base for the unit in Peak season to i.e. R1500, when you add the number of guests it will add the "extra cost" R200 rate on top of the per unit rate.

- Is there a way that for certain dates you can select the base and additional per person and for another date you can set a different base but 0 for extra cost for additional  guests?

Help will be appreciated...

@Herliaan0  The Extra Guest Fee doesn't have a setting that allows it to apply only to selected dates. But I guess one thing you could do is create a separate listing specifically for Peak Season bookings.

Eish - Thank you, I thought as much....the thing is then the ratings does not tie to the units and it looks like a unrated unit... Thank you for the feedback.

@Herliaan0 That is true, although your record as a host is still visible across multiple listings, including the Superhost badge if that comes along. And presumably an unrated property is an easier sell in peak season.
