Copy and paste the link when you are on the offending listing. Like this (for my listing) https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/698606

BTW nice little room Gordon . 👍🏻

I do understand that when guests arrive they will see it all but for advertising I feel

that is invasive .. it not for public use ..

its private property .. not public exposure - it’s too up close and personal ..

maybe they might like to advertise my Airbnb rooms that are actually on the property ... with the cows, gumtrees, rolling hills and amazing views ..

@Joyce246    You could always send a message to the host and ask them to blur your garden or take the image down.

Thanks Ange for your suggestion

@Joyce246 I am not sure I am getting this right, you are upset because your neighbor who also has a BnB has photos in their listing that shows your back yard, correct?.

Is your yard in the background of these photos or are they actual photos of your yard that they use as a selling point?  say for example you had a beautiful garden in your backyard and they had shots of your garden and were saying their guest would be able to go over and check it out. I could understand your being upset over something like that but if it's just in the background I don't see a problem with that at all.

I am not trying to be an **s here but If you are upset because your yard is just in the background I would say that you are being petty and not very neighborly and I would hope that there isn't anything legally you can do about it.

I can tell you from experience that things are a lot better if you get along with your neighbors, and just like getting along with your friends or spouse it will require some give and take from both parties, and this seems like a pretty easy thing to give.

If they are using it as a selling point for their listing I would say that you might have a case and could get a lawyer involved but is it worth doing that? I don't think it would be unless you hate your neighbor and this is just a way to get under their skin.

Hi Sam

see for your self ..

look up Australia - Skenes Creek

A-Sea Spirit Ocean View Beach House

1- Photo of our stock

-suggestion -delete and disallow intrusive material

and

2-photo across our pasture

my suggestion - lift camera to omit paddock and stock

and

B-SKENES RETREAT

so many photos are primarily focused on the view in our paddock.. the trees etc ..

Again don’t make it the focal point and

the view lift the camera ..

I oppose the use of others assets for marketing purposes ..

I understand that they will see it once they arrive but not this .

Maybe we plant trees and they have no view ..

I would prefer not to be pushed into that option but ..

I also want some degree of privacy ..

@Joyce246 , I looked at your neighbors listing and I got, to be honest, I didn't see anything wrong. They show your back yard and your cows but they are not using them as a selling point so I personally would drop the whole thing especially if you are friends.

There is one more thing I am curious about. You provided a link to one of your rooms and in the pictures, I noticed that you have a shot that shows your neighbors back yard in the background, what's the difference between you and them. Aren't you doing the exact same thing that you are upset about?

Hi Sam

which listing and which photo ..

ill take any down that is conflicting ..

so tell me and it’s done ..

thats for your feedback ..

I don’t want to go directly to sea spirit as it’s a personal friend and I have approached Airbnb

the other I have requested that they don’t advertise using our property but they refuse ..

i feel it should be an Airbnb policy so as to keep it simple ..

can cut crop ect photos quite easily so I don’t think it would be a big problem to do so ..
