@Helen262We have older spaces (1969 and 1973) that we have restored to their exact vintage, and both places sell out, so I have a slightly different perspective on design and what's "dated." I agree with the posters who have replied that there is no decor at all. Your space has great potential as a time capsule if you don't fight what you have. One option is to come up with a color pallete appropriate to the age of the home, and pick beautiful vintage peices that are appropriate to the age of the home, and try to keep and preserve the home for what it is. Stick with the colors and go shopping for vintage art, vintage lighting, and vintage decor to match that concept.
