Poor search results on Airbnb

My guests have been complaining about the poor search results on Airbnb. When they search for a place to stay in my town the search is over half of areas up to 40 minutes away. As my city has the ferry that transports people to and from the mainland my guests choose to stay close to the city. This year I’m taking a lot more phone enquires for accommodation and most say they have tried to find a place on Airbnb but got frustrated by the search. I’d rather have the booking through Airbnb. Is there a fix for this?
