Hi, guys! I have guests that have broken parking and noise level rules. The first day there was a conversation on Next Door regarding noise coming from our house which prompted HOA to send us an email with noise regulations and penalties. We reached out to the guests (12 young people) to please respect the rules. On the second night we tuned into our outdoor camera (they were not outside) to see if there is any outdoor activity so that should we be again addressed by our neighbors we could tell them our guests were fine- we were pretty surprised that after a string of messages we exchanged with them and them promising to keep it down we could hear them 1 floor below, outside, while they claimed they were inside. We tried calling Airbnb to advise us, after 1 hr wait we gave up.
How do we handle a bad review that can stem from this? We have never reviewed bad experience with guests, but we realize that being quiet is not a solution. These people clearly believed they were not loud as the guy who booked asked me what I wanted from them- be quiet? So I said to use indoor voice, and said I needed to go to bed- it was 11 pm and I had been dealing with complaints all day.
