Receiving money

Hi,

I am a new host and I am not sure if the money for the booking received are taken automatically? There is a money request tab and I assume it is only for claims on a security tab?

Please help.

Hi @Franziska34 Welcome to Airbnb! The guest is charged immediately upon booking, but you won't receive your payment until the day after the guest checks in (or later, as may be delayed by bank holidays, type of payment you choose etc.). The request money tab is used if you need to ask for additional money during or after the stay - for things like additional guests, damage, etc. Hope that helps! Karen
