Referral credit is an Added Cost?

I just booked a place in Seoul. At thr checkout page, I was given a discount of $23for Travel Credit. But I just checked the email receipt, under Payment. It listed the credit card charge and + $23 for referral credit for the total. I’m abit confused. I thought referral credits are a discount? Why am i charged for referring? I didn’t even refer anything to anyone. Maybe I’m not understanding the receipt? Please help clarify.
