Refund a guest who leaves early

A guest who was staying for 2 months is leaving a week early and I want to refund the extra money to her.

I was able to change the reservation and she accepted.  I was able to Send Money.

But the message says:  We’ll deduct $679.40 from your next payout and send the money to Rachel. 

My next payout won't be for some time.  Does this mean she has to wait?

You have refunded money that has already been given to you, @Lisa673 so Air BNB can deduct from your credit card or take from future earnings.  It is my understanding if they are taking from future earnings, the refund will occur at the time Air BNB gets the funds in hand.  Hope it helps.

I spoke to the Airbnb help desk and was told that the GUEST gets her refund immediately but the HOST does not get the money taken back until a future payout.  I am confirming with thie guest that she got the refund to her credit card.  This was not clear from the email.  I thought she would have to wait.
