I have a guest who had a travel issue and had to change his reservation to two weeks from now. He needed the reservation changed within 24 hours of thier check-in. As the room is open in two weeks, I told him I would change the reservation and he accepted the change online.
I thought since we changed the reservation and didn't "cancel" it, his payment would be a one-time two weeks from now, but I just received a payout from the system.
Should I issue him a refund or wait for him to request it? If I don't issue a refund, will he be charged the reservation fee again in 2 weeks?
