Reservation Change within 24 hours

I have a guest who had a travel issue and had to change his reservation to two weeks from now. He needed the reservation changed within 24 hours of thier check-in. As the room is open in two weeks, I told him I would change the reservation and he accepted the change online. 

 

I thought since we changed the reservation and didn't "cancel" it, his payment would be a one-time two weeks from now, but I just received a payout from the system. 

 

Should I issue him a refund or wait for him to request it? If I don't issue a refund, will he be charged the reservation fee again in 2 weeks?

Do nothing until after he has arrived and stayed with you. Otherwise you may find that you refund him and you are out of pocket. AirBnB's system will catch up with the change and balance the books on your behalf.

 

I doubt he will be charged again - and if he is, then it is up to him to contact AirBnB and get a refund. If you refund him direct, you may find that AirBnB also refund him and debit your account.
